International literary online marathon "Reading Pushkin's Lines" launched in Slovakia

The Russian Center of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture in Bratislava and the Russian House in Bratislava announce an online literary marathon "Reading Pushkin's Lines" on the eve of the International Day of the Russian Language and the birthday of the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin.

On June 6, 2021 marks the 222th anniversary of the birth of the great Russian writer Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin. It is difficult to meet at least one civilized person who does not even know a couple of lines from the works of Alexander Sergeevich.

Pushkin is one of the founders of the modern literary Russian language; the Golden Age of Russian literature and poetry is associated with his name. Thanks to Pushkin's talent, the Russian language reached the level of the national and world language, and the poet himself, who had never been outside the Russian Empire, became known all over the world.

Everyone is invited to participate in the online literary marathon.

How do I get involved?

At your choice, you read aloud and record on video your favorite work or an excerpt from the poet's work, both in Russian and in any other language.

A video no more than 4 minutes long should be sent to the email address: info@slavfond.eu or slovakia@rs.gov.ru

In the comments to the video, you have to indicate the title of the work, surname, name of the reader, country, city.

Technical requirement - horizontal position of the camera.

Videos are accepted until June 30, 2021.

The entries will be published starting from June 6, 2021 on the information resources of the Russian House in Bratislava and the Russian Center of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture in Bratislava.
