On June 6, the International Literary Online Marathon "Reading Pushkin's Lines" started in Slovakia.
The event is timed to the Day of the Russian Language, which is celebrated on the birthday of the classic of Russian literature - Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin.
The organizers were the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo in Slovakia and the Russian Center of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture.
The aim of the action is to preserve and develop interest in Russian culture and language among the younger generation of compatriots and foreigners.
To participate in the marathon, everyone was offered to record a video with the reading of Pushkin's lines and send it to the organizers.
Cultural figures, musicians, specialists in Russian, Russian language teachers and students of various educational institutions sent their videos. The geography of the participants is extensive: Russia, Slovakia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Jordan, Germany, Austria and other countries.
The videos will be posted on the YouTube channel of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Slovakia, as well as on the Facebook accounts of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Slovakia and the Russian Center of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture every day throughout the month.
