IN MEMORY of our friend and colleague KLIMOV DMITRY VYACHESLAVOVICH (August 3, 1962 - July 4, 2021)

The European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture, the European Academy for Security and Conflictology and the Creative Union of Russian Artists suffered a heavy loss. On July 4, 2021, after a serious illness, Dmitry Vyacheslavovich Klimov passed away - a talented scientist and journalist, professor, academician of the European Academy of Security and Conflictology, academician of the International Academy of Literary Documentary, member of the Russian Union of Writers, member of the Union of Writers of Russia, member of the Union of Journalists of Russia, Deputy Chief editor of the magazine "Historical Bulletin", a man of high creative and moral ideals.

Dmitry Vyacheslavovich Klimov was born on August 3, 1962 in Moscow. He obtained a higher special education (postgraduate study at the Institute of the USA and Canada of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Diploma specialty: "History. State and Law"). D.V. Klimov was a Candidate of Historical Sciences, Academician of the European Academy of Security and Conflictology, Academician of the International Academy of Literary Documentary, Professor. At the same time, he held the position of deputy editor-in-chief of the "Historical Bulletin" magazine. He also was a member of the International Union of Journalists.

For more than ten years he held important positions in the civil service. He participated in the preparation of regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation, personally presented documents to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. Author of over 1000 publications, incl. books, articles in magazines: "USA - Economics, Politics, Ideology", "International Affairs", "Historical Bulletin", "Echo of the Planet", newspapers "Krasnaya Zvezda", "Russia", "Russian News". "Nezavisimaya Gazeta" and many others.

D.V. Klimov was a permanent partner of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture, the European Academy of Security and Conflictology (Bratislava, Slovakia), the Creative Union of Artists of Russia and the Volga Branch of the Russian Academy of Arts for holding international exhibition projects and international scientific and practical conferences in 2013- 2021 years. Author of numerous publications on art exhibitions and scientific and practical conferences with the participation of academicians of the Russian Academy of Arts in the federal editions "Echo of the Planet" and "Russian News".

4 monographs have been published under the general editorship of D.V. Klimov. Author of books: “Russia. XX century. A Brief Chronicle of Wars, Revolutions and Conflicts "(2014, co-authored with I. I. Bondarenko)," The Great Patriotic War: An Illustrated Chronicle "(2015,

in collaboration with I.I. Bondarenko).

During his work in the media, personal interviews with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico, and a number of leaders of the Russian Federation have been prepared and published.

For high professionalism, creative and social activities, organizational talent, he was awarded more than 50 Russian and foreign awards.

We grieve and sincerely sympathize with the family, close friends and colleagues of Dmitry Vyacheslavovich. May the memory of our colleague, a talented scientist and journalist, an international art worker, a wonderful person, be bright and kind.
