On the eve of the new academic year, from August 16 to August 29, 2021, Russian language teachers from Slovak universities are taking part in a two-week online advanced training course "Modern trends in Russian as a foreign language and methods of teaching it in a foreign language environment."
The program was organized by the Russian World Foundation together with the Herzen Russian State Pedagogical University (St. Petersburg, Russia).
The program is intended for teachers of Russian as a foreign language of foreign higher educational institutions.
As part of the program, professionals from a leading Russian university will talk about current trends in the development of the Russian language and methods of teaching it, and share their experience.
August 16, the first day of classes, was aimed at studying the traditions and innovations in the methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language, as well as the new vocabulary that emerged in the Russian language in the 21st century.
In the following days, listeners will get acquainted with intercultural, with modern literary processes in Russia, will take part in master classes in conversational practice.
It is gratifying that the first day of lectures was already held in a professional and at the same time friendly atmosphere, including the first discussions and exchange of pedagogical experience.
There are still 70 hours of fruitful work, new knowledge and information ahead that will undoubtedly help teachers of Russian as a foreign language in their future work.
