Russian Center in Bratislava takes an active part in the project "Week of the Russian language in Europe and the CIS"

 From October 25 to October 29, 2021, "Week of the Russian language in Europe and the CIS" will be held in online format.

The project is being implemented with the aim of developing international humanitarian cooperation, supporting and promoting the Russian language abroad by the executive authorities of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug-Ugra, together with leading universities of various countries, representatives of public organizations, as well as the literary community of the participating countries.

The event is being held for the second year and has acquired an international character.

This year, at the initiative of the Russian Center in Bratislava, educational and public organizations from non-CIS countries were involved in the Russian Language Week, which significantly expanded the geography of the project.

The grand opening of the weekly promotion is scheduled for October 25th. The online ceremony will be attended by representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Rossotrudnichestvo, diplomatic corps of foreign states, government bodies of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Ugra; educational and public organizations of different (Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Spain, USA, Qatar, Libya, Jordan).

President of the Foundation, prof. I.I.Bondarenko will make a speech on behalf of the Russian Center in Bratislava and the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture.

An extensive program is planned within the framework of the Week of the Russian Language: lectures on various issues of the Russian language, bilingual education, prospects for its development, as well as seminars, a linguistic quest and a poetry battle, master classes and round tables will be held. The target groups of the project are teachers and teachers of Russian as a foreign language and students of universities and gymnasiums, and students of bilingual schools abroad.

Special attention will be paid to the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Russian writer, thinker, philosopher and publicist F.M. Dostoevsky. October 28, Thursday, creative talks about the life and work of the great writer will take place, an interactive tour of the Omsk State Literary Museum. F.M. Dostoevsky, the results of the essay competition on the theme "Moral lessons of FM Dostoevsky in the perception of the modern reader" will be summed up.

The Week of the Russian Language is an important and effective tool to support teachers of the Russian language and literature, as well as to create a favorable atmosphere for the preservation and promotion of the Russian language in foreign countries.
