On December 10, on the eve of the New Year and Christmas, the Russian Center in Bratislava took an active part in the International Teleconference "New Year is Rushing to Us".
The teleconference was initiated by the International Association of Russian-speaking Compatriots in Malaysia (MORS).
The teleconference united together students from the cities of Russia, Malaysia and Slovakia.
The Russian Center in Bratislava was represented by Russian language learners from the cities of Levice and Ruzomberok, as well as Russian language courses from Bratislava.
The seven-hour time difference did not interfere with communication: the guys in Russian talked about the traditions of celebrating the New Year in their countries, read their favorite New Year's poems, made riddles, met fairy-tale characters and even danced. At the end of the online meeting, a master class on making a Christmas tree out of paper was held.
The festive, friendly atmosphere helped to gain knowledge about the culture and traditions of different countries, and, of course, to improve the level of knowledge of the Russian language.
In conclusion, the participants expressed their hope that such international communication will become a good tradition.
