The European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture and the Foundation of Ukrainian Literature and Culture, together with the Private Slavic Gymnasium (Bratislava), with the support of Ukrainian compatriots for three weeks, have been implementing a project of language and socio-cultural adaptation of children who came with their parents from Ukraine.
Within the framework of the project, activities were carried out aimed at the adaptation of children of refugees and displaced from Ukraine. Among the activities: Slovak language courses, psychological and pedagogical assistance, a series of lessons about Slovak culture, physical education and games, music and singing lessons.
All events are held free of charge by teachers of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture, the Foundation of Ukrainian Literature and Culture, the "Spektr" and "Mova Kalinova" language schools and volunteers.
Many children willingly prepare materials on the history and culture of Slovakia on their own, make up short stories from them, thereby learning a new country for themselves.
During the day, the guys are constantly busy. The day begins with special physical exercises under the guidance of a professional trainer. Exercises are aimed at strengthening muscles, relaxing and straightening the spine. The trainer tells the guys how to achieve a straight back and straightened shoulders. The group is then divided into subgroups. The children themselves decide in which subgroup they will be engaged. During the break, they get a delicious lunch and sweets.
Children willingly make contact, share their emotions, show great interest in classes.
We thank everyone who helps us conduct classes, we appreciate your work!
