A festive event "Peace to Children!" dedicated to the International Children's Day was held in Bratislava

On May 29, 2022, the European Foundation of Slavonic Literature and Culture and the Foundation of Ukrainian Literature and Culture held a festive event "Peace to the Children!", dedicated to the International Children's Day. Its participants were children aged 6 to 12 with their parents.

International Children's Day is celebrated annually on June 1 in more than 30 countries and is one of the oldest international holidays.

An exciting Robboquest was organized for the children. This is an intellectual, team game on the stations with the participation of robots. The participants of the quest with their parents plunged into a fantastic adventure, various innovative and robotic puzzles. Everyone had a chance to show their abilities and solve a difficult puzzle with the help of various gadgets and devices. Five teams participated in the competition. They were faced with a difficult task - to go through the tests at five stations in turn and collect the cipher, guess the word from the cipher.

The scenario of the quest was rich, and the tasks are multifaceted and complex. The names of the stations speak for themselves: "Programming Planet", "3D Modeling and Printing Planet", "Smart Home", "Robot", "Inventors".

The station “Planet of 3D Modeling and Printing” aroused particular interest among the children. Here they listened to an informative story about 3D modeling, received a model and launched it for printing. With genuine interest, children and adults watched the 3D printing process. They then put together a 3D puzzle that, when assembled, was the station's cipher. But the test at the station "Inventors" was fun and with laughter. Here the guys had to show creativity and ability to work in a team. They were faced with the task of inventing a new robot to simplify human life, while using only team members as parts.

At the end, the players were expected to receive prizes in the form of subscriptions for a free visit to the Jump Arena game center in Bratislava, as well as free trial lessons in robotics and programming.

At the end of the holiday, the head of the Robboclub in Bratislava Andrey Skorobogach expressed the opinion of all those present: “The holiday turned out to be warm and joyful. We, adults, should not forget about the problems of the younger generation. Children, like no one else, are defenseless against the realities of the modern world. We must do everything to make them happy.”
