The libraries of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture, the Foundation of Ukrainian Literature and Culture opened their doors to young readers who want to plunge into the magic of a fairy tale.
The teachers of the funds introduced the children to the work of the famous Ural storyteller P.P. Bazhov. His books are loved by adults and children all over the world. So the collection of fairy tales "The Malachite Box", with which the children were to get acquainted, was first translated into English and published in London and New York in 1944, then in Prague, in Paris. Then the book was translated into German, Hungarian, Romanian, Chinese, Japanese. In total - in 100 languages of the world.
During the event, young readers learned interesting facts from the biography of Pavel Bazhov, discovered the wonderful world of the Mistress of the Copper Mountain, and revealed the images of the heroes of the work. Then there was a lesson on teaching expressive reading and retelling of the episode with the oral drawing of a portrait of a beloved hero, and at the end of the lesson everyone could draw this image with pencils and paints.
According to the teachers of the foundations, through fairy tales, children discover all the richness of nature, learn to love and protect it, and use it wisely. This is a long, competent work of adults and a constant work of the children's mind and heart.
