On the 3d of November 2016 in Moscow was performed X Jubilee Assembly of Russian World. More than 800 delegates from nearly a hundred countries gathered to discuss actual problems of the Russian-speaking community abroad. First Assembly began its work in 2007, it is with this date the fund "Russian world" started its work.
Panel discussions - "Russian world in a changed world “, "Russian language: the richness diversity and unity factor" and round tables combined participants to discuss topical issues of perception of the image of Russia, problems of historical memory of generations, the features of the work of Russian-language media abroad, creation of the textbook of the Russian language and the traditions of Russian cinema.
At the opening ceremony the chairman of the board of trustees of the "Russian world", the President of the Russian Academy of Education Ludmila Verbitskaya said: "Thanks to the work of the" Russian world " was formed the concept of Russian world as a community of all those who love and believe in Russia. But main backbone in the “Russian world” is the great and mighty Russian language, the language of Pushkin and Dostoevsky".
The moderator of the panel discussion was the chairman of the Duma Committee on Education and Science, chairman of the "Russian world" 
Vyacheslav Nikonov. The discussion was attended by many well-known political scientists and journalists - Avigdor Eskin from Israel, the organizer of the action "Immortal regiment" Nikolai Zemtsov, independent Italian journalist, Member of Euro parliament Giulietto Chiesa, Russian political scientist from United States, Nikolai Zlobin, Member of Euro parliament, President of the European Russian Alliance Tatiana Zhdanok, professor Seyed Hassan Zahran, head of the European Institute of democracy and cooperation Natalia Narochnitskaya and many others.
Greetings to the Forum sent the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin, Minister of Culture of Russian Federation V.R. Medinskiy, Mayor of Moscow S.S. Sobyanin, Chairman of the Russian Council of Muftis R. Gainutdin and others.
At the opening of the Assembly "Russian World" the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill performed with his greeting word. According to him, Prince Vladimir from the time of the adoption of Orthodox Christianity is the true founder of the Russian world. The entire subsequent history of Russia and the Russian people and other peoples who poured into the community is connected with the historical choice of the prince. "In this sense, we are talking about the importance of the Orthodox Church as moral dominant which has formed the conditions for the existence of the Russian world: if there would be no orthodoxy - there would be no multinational and great Russia and there would be no" Russian world".
The participants of the Assembly were greeted by the representatives of other traditional religions of Russia - Chief Rabbi of Russia Berel Lazar, head of the Council of Muftis of Russia, Chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Moscow Region Rushan Abyasov.
The Assembly was also attended by prominent political and public figures, heads of ministries and departments, representatives of associations of compatriots, university professors and teachers of Russian schools, textbook authors, scientists, writers, diplomats and journalists.
The forum was attended by the President of the European Fund of Slavic Literature and Culture Professor Igor Bondarenko and head of the Russian Centre in Bratislava Alexander Bushuev.
This year, the Assembly preceded the International Youth Forum "Generation of Peace", which began its work on the 2nd of November 2016. The forum summed up the results of the program "Generation of Peace" and the finalists of the contests "The word for us!" and the II International competition for young journalists "co-creation" were awarded. The program also includes discussions, lectures and master classes. Forum participants: foreign students studying Russian language, young teachers, representatives of the Russian diaspora - have decided to establish the 
International Association of Youth and Students, studying Russian language. All of them have also participated in the work of the Assembly of the “Russian world”.
In the lobby was deployed the exhibition of posters and books.
