On 18 March 2024, students and teachers met with the writer Olga Goch at the Private Slovak-Russian Primary School in Bratislava.
Olga Goch is a public figure and the author of the books in Russian and Slovak "My igraem" (EN: "We play") and "Sladkaja jagoda" (EN: "Sweet berries"). In Slovakia, children's theatre performances based on her fairy tales take place every year. When children meet Olga Goch, it is always a festive day when magic happens, and they discover all kinds of interesting things.
Olga presented her work to the children, explained how the stories are created and read poems from her own work. She also presented her recently published book "My igraem". The book teaches children to learn about the world around them, to value friendship and to love their family.
This is what the author herself said about the meeting: "The atmosphere at the meeting was very pleasant. The students and their teacher Nadezhda Valeryevna welcomed me in a warm and joyful mood. At first the children watched me curiously, they were interested in who I was and what I had come to tell them. After getting to know each other, the children came alive and the questions just kept pouring in. Everyone wanted to talk about themselves, their family, their pets. It was fun and really noisy!"
Children made original gifts on which they drew pictures of poems from the book.
In the end of the meeting Olga wished the children to study well, to create, to fantasize, to read a lot and to make friends.
