From November 11 to 15, Russian Language Week is being held in Slovakia. The program includes workshops, quests, lectures by highly qualified Russian-speaking educators, literary exhibitions, and cultural events aimed at promoting and spreading interest in the Russian language in Slovakia, as well as providing linguistic and methodological support for Russian language teachers.
Lecturers from the faculty of Surgut State Pedagogical University (SurGPU), as well as from Slovak and Austrian universities, participate in the Russian Language Week. The project focuses not only on supporting the Russian language in education but also on expanding knowledge of Russian classical literature. This year, the literary theme of the Week highlights the works of L. N. Tolstoy and F. M. Dostoevsky, whose writings are included in the curricula of Slovak secondary and higher education.
The project is implemented by the civic organization Ruslana (Slovakia), with the support of the Kultminor fund, in cooperation with SurGPU, the Russian House in Bratislava, and the European Fund for Slavic Literature and Culture.
