On November 15, the Aircraft Gallery hosted the vernissage of Russian artist Ekaterina Grishakova, who resides in Bratislava. The vernissage was part of the Folklore Day organized by the “Ruslana” association, the “Prasnica” ensemble, and the European Foundation of Slavic Literacy and Culture.
Grishakova's paintings are distinguished by bold colors and joyful energy. She loves Bratislava and travels extensively. Depictions of her favorite spots in Bratislava and Prague, as well as landscapes painted during plein air sessions in various countries, are reflected in the exhibition's title: "Bratislava and Beyond." In the foyer of the Aircraft business center, you will be greeted by watercolors of Bratislava's views. In the gallery, you'll find the red rooftops of Prague and scenes from Italy and Spain.
"I see the world as bright, colorful, and positive! Through my paintings, I want to share this joy," the artist says about her work. Ekaterina Grishakova also took part in Folklore Day, joining the students and pupils in a lively round dance. As a gift to the high school students, she will host a workshop titled “Draw a Christmas Card!” on December 4. The workshop will take place at the European Foundation of Slavic Literacy and Culture.
We invite all students to meet the artist and immerse themselves in her enchanting world of colors and creativity!
