An exhibition of Belarusian books is taking place at SlavaFund, drawing attention with its collection of publications. The fund's library includes a large number of books, textbooks, and dictionaries in various Slavic languages, including Slovak, Czech, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Croatian, and others.
The exhibition has sparked interest among visitors and guests of the fund, each of whom found publications relevant to their professional activities and personal interests.
For example, Tatiana Zhitnikova, an editor at Slovak Radio, emphasized the importance of supporting cultural and linguistic ties among Slavic peoples. She paid special attention to books on the geography and history of Belarusian cities and was impressed by the extensive publishing activities of the fund, particularly in the areas of publishing books in Slovak, Czech, and Old Russian. As a token of appreciation, she donated valuable publications in Slovenian to the fund's library, which will enrich the linguistic diversity of the EFSPiK fund.
Peter Mengart, a representative of the Military-Historical Club, discussed with the fund's directors the importance of publishing books on military history. The exhibition includes publications covering the heroic struggle of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War, which is especially relevant as we approach the 80th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany.
The exhibition was also visited by representatives of legal and public organizations. Professor Josef Dolnik, head of the Slovak branch of the International Movement of Russophiles, highlighted the contribution of the fund’s staff to strengthening friendly relations among Slavic peoples. He stressed that cultural ties play a key role in establishing peace and stability in the region.
The Belarusian Book Exhibition at SlavaFund has become an event uniting people of various professions and interests around the idea of preserving and developing Slavic cultural heritage.
