On the 2d of May 2017 was held a creative meeting of compatriots with the legendary artist Vladimir Etush.
The organizer of the meeting was the Russian Center of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture in Bratislava. At the meeting were invited compatriots from Slovakia and Austria. Partner of the Russian Center, the company Yust offered to hold a meeting in the small Austrian town of Rust, where V. Etush and his wife arrived on vacation.
Despite the solid age of 94, Vladimir Abramovich Etush gladly agreed to meet with compatriots. Moreover, he was full of warm memories of past trips to Bratislava and friends who have been there.
For many compatriots this meeting with the Russian actor of theatre and cinema, the teacher, the national actor of the USSR and the veteran of the Great Patriotic War became a significant event. Everyone wanted to ask him questions and to make a photo for memory.
About creativity of V. Etush told his wife Elena Etush, which showed video fragments of performances and photographs. Until now the actor plays roles in five performances of the Vakhtangov Theatre in Moscow. No less interesting was the story of the fate of the artist. He survived the difficult times of the establishment of Soviet power, the hard years of the Second World War, during which he was several times wounded, the period of "perestroika", when the theatrical life was going through difficulties. Despite the long difficult fate, Vladimir Abramovich kept warm in his heart and endless friendly sense of humour.
The head of the Russian Center presented the artist with the unique book "Russia. The XX century. A Brief Chronicle of Wars, Revolutions and Conflicts ", one of the authors of which is the President of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture, Professor I.I. Bondarenko. V.A. Etush expressed a big interest regarding the content of the book and thanked for the gift.
The atmosphere of the meeting was very warm and friendly, no one wanted to leave. All participants of the meeting were invited to Moscow to watch performances of V.A. Etush.
