On the 30th of May 2017 in the Russian Center of the European Fund of Slavic Literature and Culture in Bratislava an “Open Day” was held.
The whole day the Russian Center hosted guests, showed opportunities to learn Russian language, acquainted all guests with the resources of the center and its library.
Special guests were students of the Ivan Gorvat bilingual gymnasium. This year the gymnasium celebrated its 50th anniversary. The gymnasium students study the Russian language quite intensively, for 20 hours a week, and also they have individual subjects conducted in Russian.
Students of Gymnasium listened with interest to the history of the creation of the Russian Center, the activities of the "Russian World" Foundation, the proximity of cultures of the Slavic peoples, and the close humanitarian and business ties between Russia and Slovakia. They were presented with a library. Knowledge of the Russian language allowed the gymnasium students to understand the subtleties of the story about the life and work of the poet A.S. Pushkin.
Then in a large audience was shown a film about the amazing region of Russia - Kamchatka. At the request of teachers, a cartoon from the "Smeshariki" series was also shown. Each guest was offered mineral water and famous Russian sweets. The students were in a good mood; there was an atmosphere of goodness and friendship.
In conclusion, the gymnasium students visited the Aircraft Gallery, where the exhibition of the works of the famous Russian artist Konstantin Khudyakov was presented. The exposition made a strong impression. A powerful modern Russian artist, who works in the genre of digital art, the president of the Creative Union of Artists of Russia, an active member of the Russian Academy of Arts, the Honored Artist of the Russian Federation presented at the exhibition in Bratislava a large collection of his unique works. Especially the schoolboys were attracted by the pictures created in the 3D technique with stereo panels.
The teachers thanked for the wonderful day of the Russian language and culture, for the good experience of communication for students, for the 
warm welcome, for the journals Russian World.ru, for the opportunity to use resources and much more. The students also thanked for the meeting and congratulated the "Russian World" Fund with its anniversary. The Russian Center and Gymnasium agreed to make such meetings on a regular basis.
