On the 6th of June 2017 in the Russian city of Kaliningrad, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov met with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Miroslav Lajchak.
The foreign ministers discussed the state and prospects for the development of the entire range of bilateral relations, including taking into account the XVIII meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation that was held between the Russian Federation and the Slovak Republic on 27-28 April 2017 in Moscow.
Taking into account the election of Miroslav Lajchak as a chairman of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly, the ministers exchanged views on the UN issues, the main issues of its agenda, the main priorities of its activities and development, and they also discussed the topical issues of the international agenda.
As a result of the talks, a joint press conference was held, during which the ministers responded to media questions.
