On the 9th of November 2017, at the Russian Center in Bratislava of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture, a meeting was held with the representative of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia, under Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia, Archimandrite Seraphim.
Archimandrite Seraphim is the author of icons and frescoes in the temples of Russia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the USA, Sweden, Great Britain, Ireland and Switzerland.
From 2010 to 2014 he was a clergyman of the St.Cyril and Methodius Cathedral of Michalovce city (Slovakia) and the personal secretary of Archbishop Georgy of Mikhalovsky-Koshitsky region. He has a master's degree in theology.
An interesting man with an amazing charm, who immediately captured the attention of all present with his story.
Being presently the abbot of the temple of St. Nicholas in Kotelniki in Moscow, he told about the difficult fate of the temple, about the activities of uniting Orthodox Christians from Russia, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Father Seraphim got acquainted with the activities of the Russian Center and the Foundation, admired the library, approved the teaching of the Russian language and culture to children, offered cooperation.
The meeting was attended by employees of the Russian Center, teachers of the Russian language, compatriots and Slovak guests.
