On the 15th of November 2017, the Chairman of the Parliament of the Slovak Republic, Andrey Danko, during an official visit to Moscow, visited the Representation of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia in Moscow, the Patriarchal Metochion of the Temple of St. Nicholas in Kotelniki. His Excellency was accompanied by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Slovak Republic in the Russian Federation Peter Priputen; Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of the Slovak Republic Bella Bugar; Deputy Chairman of the Parliament of the Slovak Republic Martin Glvach; Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic Martina Lubiova; Deputy, Chairman of the friendship between the Parliament of the Slovak Republic and the Parliament of the Russian Federation Lyubomir Petrak; Deputy of Parliament Josef Valotski; Deputy Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Lukash Parivek; Director of the Department of International Relations of the Parliament of Slovak Republic Christina Samova; Advisor to the Chairman of the Parliament of the Slovak Republic Marek Lisansky and other members of the delegation.
Honored guests were met by Archimandrite Seraphim (Shemyatovsky), Representative of the Orthodox Church of the Czech Lands and Slovakia under the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia. After a brief excursion to the Temple, which was held by the Secretary of the Representation, Hieromonk Alexander (Galushka), a moleben was held, at which they prayed for the God-protected countries of Slovakia and Russia, about the authorities and their peoples.
At the end of the moleben, Archimandrite Serafim, thanked guests for the honor given by their visit and presented the Chairman of the Parliament a handwritten icon of St. Nicholas. In response, the Chairman of the Parliament presented to the Temple a unique rood (cross) made by Slovak masters in the national traditions.
