On the 27th of September 2019, a new school year began at the "Petrushka" painting studio. The studio has been successfully operating at the Russian Center of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture for the third year already. The symbol of the studio was the sketch of Petrushka’s costume to Stravinsky’s ballet “Petrushka”.
Classes are led by Russian painter Yekaterina Grishakova. She is a very creative person and also known as the author of paintings in the style of impressionism. She is a member of many international exhibitions and expositions. Her works are in private collections in different countries of Europe.
People of different ages are engaged in the studio “Petrushka” - children, adolescents and adults. Russian compatriots, Slovaks and citizens of other countries showed their interest to the classes of the studio. This year, citizens from 9 countries of the world studied in the studio. Among them were citizens of Russia, Slovakia, Indonesia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkey, Spain, Scotland, Great Britain and Ireland. Teaching is conducted in three languages: Russian, Slovak and English.
On the eve of the start of the semester, the best works of the studio's students were exposed in the International Art Exhibition "Dream and Dreamers", which was opened in the Aircraft Gallery.
The guests highly appreciated the quality of paintings, variety of genres and performance techniques, as well as a high level of teaching at the painting studio.
