On the 10th of October 2019, an open lesson on the Russian language and culture was dedicated to contemporary Russian art in the Russian center of the European Foundation for Slavic Literature and Culture in Bratislava.
High school students from the bilingual gymnasium named after Galileo Galilei from the city of Bratislava together with Russian language teachers came for a visit. This is not the first time students and teachers from this gymnasium have come to the Russian Center.
First of all, students visited the Russian Center, got acquainted with the library, were separately interested in books about Russian painters, talked about art, Russian literature and Russia.
Then the students were able to have experience on the innovative teaching method in bilingual education. A certified specialist from Surgut, Andrey Skorobogach, conducted a lesson on mental arithmetic. This method of quick counting in the mind develops intelligence, memory, imagination and logic, coordinates the work of two hemispheres of the brain, which leads to an increase of interest for studying. Training took place over a cup of tea.
Then guests visited the "AIRCRAFT" gallery, where an exhibition of works by Ukrainian painters and students of the Petrushka painting studio, which is led by the painter from Moscow Yekaterina Grishakova, was exhibited.
Some works by aspiring artists amazed guests with their high emotional impact.
