Russian Language Courses has been working for 4 years at the Russian Center of the European Foundation for Slavic Literature and Culture in Bratislava. Every year, teachers develop their professional skills on scientific and practical seminars and conferences of Russian scholars.
From November 7 to 9, 2019, the teachers of the center took part in the III Vienna Forum of Russian teachers of European countries. Participants of the forum held an exchange of professional experience aimed at developing solutions for the use of new forms and methods of teaching Russian language and literature, Russian as a foreign language and teaching different subjects in Russian.
The head of the Russian language courses Natalia Yadryshnikova performed with a report in which she shared the experience of the Russian Center in Bratislava. The implantation of innovative teaching methods in open classes, work with Slovak schools and gymnasiums, teaching the Russian language through culture - all these issues aroused interest among the forum participants.
Within the framework of the forum, educational and teaching literature, electronic educational, game and informational resources in the field of studying the Russian language, literature and culture were presented, as well as with the participation of representatives of Russian publishers in the presentations: “Russian language. Courses ”,“ Zlatoust ”,“ Russian Word ”,“ Bilingua ”.
Forum participants visited bilingual schools - the Russian "Meridian" Gymnasium and the Vienna Russian School. Also, within the framework of the forum, teachers were trained on the topic “Language and intercultural communications, inter-subject relations and especially the teaching of literature for schoolchildren and students who speak Russian as a foreign language and as a second mother language”. Upon completion, certificates were awarded.
This year, teachers of the Russian Center also took part in the II International Conference “SLAVIA 2019 - Innovative Approaches to the Organization of Educational Activities in the Study of Slavic Languages and Cultures in the Theory and Methodology of Education in the Slovak Republic, the Russian Federation and in Other Countries”, in the VIII International Forum of Russianists from Central and Eastern Europe “Bratislava meetings - 2019”, IV Scientific-practical conference of Russianists "Methodological and literary aspects of the study of Russian as a foreign language", as well as in the annual book Fair.
