On March 12, 2020, the Slovak government announced the introduction of a state of emergency on the territory of the country in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
In connection with the current situation of forced quarantine, the Russian Center of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture in Bratislava accepted the challenge and promptly switched to distance learning this week. Russian language courses approached students (listeners). Now, without leaving home or office, the student (listener) can obtain full online lessons.
Professional teachers accompany each lesson with visual materials on the grammar and other topics of the lesson, using modern interactive teaching methods.
On the first lessons, the students were extremely concentrated and attentive, because they had to learn new vocabulary in Russian, associated with a new form of studying. It was all the more pleasant to receive positive reviews.
The work of the Russian language courses has not been stopped; it has reconfigurated into a new modern format. There is an opportunity to train people from other regions of Slovakia now. Two people residing in the city of Pezinok enrolled in the courses this week.
