On November 21, 2019, the III International Conference "Tradeing on the Markets of the Eurasian Economic Union" was held in Bratislava. The conference was organized by the Embassies of Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in Slovakia together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bratislava city and the Bratislava Region.
As visiting experts, a delegation of representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission (ECE), headed by the director of Development and Integration Department of ECE - S.S. Shukhno (Belarus) came for a visit.
The conference was attended by the Ambassadors of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia. In their speeches, they spoke about the importance of trade and economic cooperation within the EAEU, the advantages of integration processes and the entry of Slovak business into the market of the Eurasian Union.
On the Slovak side, the conference was attended by the representatives of: the Parliament of the Republic, many ministries, the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry, regional and public organizations, business circles and associations.
The Russian center of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture took part in the conference and organized a tour of the exhibition "My Russian Province." The exhibition was prepared by the Yelabuga State Museum-Reserve and presented in the "Aircraft Gallery", in the halls of which the conference was held.
During the break, the conference participants were shown films about Yelabuga, the museums of this city, famous people and the Russian painter Ivan Shishkin, who was born and worked in Yelabuga.
The conference was widely covered in the media. Ambassador of the Russian Federation A.L. Fedotov gave an interview to Slovak Radio.
