About the project “Twenty-eight Moments of Spring 1945”

The Russian Center of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture in Bratislava invites you to familiarize yourself with the project.

In honor of the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory, the famous Russian politician, doctor of historical sciences, chairman of the board of the Russian World Foundation, Vyacheslav Nikonov, created a virtual project - “Twenty-eight Moments of the Spring of 1945”.

The project is a series of essays in which the author, day after day, talks about the last month of Great Patriotic War. Since April 12, texts and illustrations to them are published daily on a special site -https://28.russkiymir.ru/.

The author of the project, Vyacheslav Alekseevich Nikonov is a Russian historian, writer and political scientist, grandson of V.M. Molotov - a Russian revolutionary, statesman, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the USSR in 1939-1949.

Talking about the idea of the project, the author noted: “We are not able to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Victory as we would like to. The pandemic has made its own merciless adjustments. But we can recall the events of the victorious spring, referring to the documents, facts, eyewitness accounts. Everything is as it was: front-line weekdays and exploits, strategic plans of great countries and their leaders, the operational plans of the commanders, intrigues of politicians, the Agony of the Third Reich.
