On May 6, 2020, an open lesson in Russian was held. It was dedicated to the Victory in World War II over the Nazis with the title "Lessons of Victory."
This is not the first time that the Russian Center of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture has been conducting classes in Russian language on this topic.
This lesson gave a start to the wide holding of "Lessons of Victory" in various institutions and cities of Slovakia. The online lesson was attended by teachers and students, Russian scholars and historians.
The first part of the lesson consisted of a demonstration - presentation of materials from the lesson itself, including historical photographs of the war years, archival materials and video stories about the war. A special place was given to the role of the joint struggle of the Slovak partisans and the Red Army in the liberation of Slovakia and the approaching of the Great Victory Day.
The lesson was conducted remotely by Natalya Chumak, the head of courses at the Russian Center in Bratislava. The lesson was attended by the head of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Bratislava, Inna Kuznetsova, the historian from Banska-Bystrica Valeriy Lebedev, the teacher of Russian as a foreign language at Tula State University Victoria Alyoshina, and the teacher of RLF courses Natalia Yadryshnikova.
The second part of the lesson turned out to be spontaneous. At the end of the presentation of the Lesson, the participants had a desire to talk about their relatives - participants in the war. It turned out a spiritual conversation.
In conclusion, the head of the RCSC Inna Kuznetsova performed with a speech. She congratulated everyone on the upcoming holiday and expressed gratitude to the entire Slovak people for keeping a good memory of the soldiers of the Red Army who died in Slovakia.
