On June 6, Russian Language Day is annually celebrated in Russia and in the world. It is dedicated to the birthday of the great Russian poet, the founder of the modern Russian literary language, Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin.
On this day, the television company "Russian World" and the A.S. Pushkin Moscow State Museum jointly held the International Competition - an online quiz dedicated to the life and works of the poet. The quiz was attended by teams from 6 countries: Syria (Damascus), Germany (Nuremberg), Italy (Milan and Pisa), Bulgaria (Sofia), Spain (Granada) and Slovakia (Bratislava and Levize).
The Slovak team, which was prepared by the Russian Center of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture, took part in the competition. The main composition of the team was presented by the best students of the school of Podluzhanka of the city of Levize and their teachers of the Russian language. The team was prepared by school teacher Vladimir Mosienko and a representative of the Russian Center Natalya Chumak.
The schoolchildren chose the positive name of the team "Cheerful Guys" and enthusiastically studied the details of Pushkin's biography and works. Of course, the difficulty was imposed by online preparation and online participation in the competition, being in different places.
As a result of the quiz, the Slovak team took 3rd place. Everyone was very pleased with the result, because there was very little time for preparation and organization.
Teacher's comment: “It was a great experience for the guys. It is very pleasant that foreign students and schoolchildren are interested in works of A.S. Pushkin. "
Students' comments: “There were a lot of exciting emotions, because being in different rooms we found an option on how to come to the same opinion on the answer to each question.”
