On December 11, 2020 a practical online seminar was held at the Russian Center of the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture in Bratislava. The topic of the seminar was “We meet at the airport in Russian”.
The seminar was attended by employees of the airport named after M.R. Stefanik in Bratislava. Special topics were chosenfor them. They were all about their work and service to passengers from Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries. Passenger check-in at the airport and via internet, ticketing, lost luggage, the mentality of the Russian people, return flights of passengers and other topics.
The seminar was held in an interactive form of questions and answers with elements of play and easy communication. Real situations from professional practice, the development of confident speaking skills, the use of fixed expressions and clichés - all this aroused genuine interest among the participants. They highly appreciated the unique value and usefulness of the event and asked that such workshops shell continue in the future.
The participants also made a virtual tour to Moscow international airports.
The seminar became one of the types of non-traditional format for studying the Russian language on a topical, really applicable and in-demand topic in the professional activities of the participants.
