On January 31, 2021, within the framework of the "Sunday Readings" project, a lesson in Russian "Science Day for Children" was held. The project has long since moved to the online format and expanded its boundaries.
Children from 5 to 10 years old from four countries - Slovakia, Czech Republic, Russia and Germany took part in an entertaining lesson.
The topic was "What is made of what?" The children got acquainted with the concept of "material" - threads, wood, paper and other materials from which the objects around us are made.
In a fascinating way, they learned how a book is born, how woollen things are made, where dishes come from, and what wonderful products can be made from clay.
When the children started doing needlework, adults joined them. They helped make the little books and glue pictures that were sent to them in advance. Someone cut and glued, someone drew - the work was in full swing!
At the end of the lesson, the children themselves formulated the conclusion: "The knowledge and work of many people are invested in each thing, so things must be treated with care and nature must be protected."
Little researchers will continue to study this issue on their own, taking pictures of objects in the room, around the house and on the street with a camera. It was their homework.
