Educational project "Dostoevsky: writer and man" launched in Slovakia

On November 25, 2022, the first event of the project took place at the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture - an interactive lesson "Dostoevsky: a writer and a person".
More than 60 people attended the lesson, which was prepared and conducted by the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture together with the Foundation of Ukrainian Literature and Culture.

Literary exposition dedicated to the birthday of F.M. Dostoevsky "Episodes" (1821-1881).

The exhibition occupies three halls: the first is dedicated to the life and work of F.M. Dostoevsky until 1861, the second is devoted to the travels of the writer 1862-1865 and the third - 1864-1881, when he wrote five of his main novels: "Crime and Punishment", "Idiot", "Demons", "Teenager" and "The Brothers Karamazov".

The XI International Festival "Russian Song over the Danube" took place in Slovakia

On October 28-29, 2022, in Slovakia, not far from the town of Ružomberok, the traditional XI International Festival "Russian Song over the Danube" was held.
This year, Russian folk song performers, sonorous accordionists, ensembles, soloists and duets came from the Czech Republic, Poland and various parts of Slovakia.

BOOK EXHIBITION: "CHARMING CLASSICS"

October 12, 2022 in the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture and in the Ukrainian Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture opened an exhibition of books on the subject: "Charming Classics".
The exhibition presents works of Russian and Ukrainian literature, both for adults and children.
Creativity of such authors as A.S. Pushkin, F.M. Dostoevsky, I.S. Turgenev, A.P. Chekhov, L.N. Tolstoy, N.V. Gogol, M. Bulgakov, V. Krapivin V. Kaverin, M. Sholokhov, T. Shevchenko, L. Ukrainka and many others draw the reader's attention to eternal spiritual and moral values.

European Day of Languages ​​in Bratislava

On September 26, 2022, the European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture, together with the Foundation of Ukrainian Literature and Culture and with the language school "Spectrum" held an interactive open lesson "Learn languages!" Dedicated to the European Day of Languages. It was attended by students and teachers of Slovak schools and gymnasiums, as well as students of language courses.

Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary - 21 September 2022

The Nativity of Our Most Holy Lady Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary is the first twelfth (from the Slavic "twelve" - twelve) Orthodox feast of the church year. It is the first according to the chronology of events in New Testament history, and according to the church calendar, which begins in September and is therefore called in liturgical hymns "the beginning of our salvation." The birth of the Mother of God was the fulfillment of prophecies that Christ, the Savior of the world, would soon come to earth.
