Victory Day over fascism and the 77th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War

Today, May 8, 2022, President Zuzana Chaputova marked the 77th anniversary of the end of World War II and Victory Day over fascism by laying wreaths at the cemeteries in Zvolen, where fallen Soviet and Romanian soldiers are buried.

On May 3, 2022 The European Foundation of Slavic Literature and Culture has opened an exhibition of books on the topic: "The Second World War".
World War II is an armed conflict on a planetary scale involving two world military-political coalitions, which has become the largest in the history of mankind.

"Outstanding Ukrainian women who will be remembered forever"

Recently, the Foundation of Ukrainian Literature and Culture in Bratislava opened an exhibition of books on the topic: "Outstanding Ukrainian women who will be remembered forever."

The exposition is represented by a set of books by Ukrainian writers from the library fund of Ukrainian literature and culture, as well as photographs of prominent Ukrainian women, who not only left their mark on history, but became an example for many generations.

At the exhibition, teachers, children and guests of the foundation recalled the outstanding writers of the past, got acquainted with contemporary writers of Ukraine and were inspired by worthy examples of famous Ukrainian women.

Master class in the technique of "Origami" on the theme "Easter" for children from Ukraine.

On April 21, 2022, the European Foundation ща Slavic Literature and Culture and the Foundation of Ukrainian Literature and Culture hosted a master class on making "Origami" on the theme "Easter".


During the master class, the children made with their own hands from colored cardboard and paper a chicken-basket for Easter eggs and Easter, and also got acquainted with Easter traditions and rituals.

Holy Week

Now the Orthodox continue Holy Week.
Holy Week is the last week before Easter. In the Orthodox Church, this is the most important week of the whole year, dedicated to the last days of the earthly life of Jesus Christ.
