Traditional songs performed by the Belarusian family ensemble "Prasnisa" (meaning "spindle" in Russian), dancing, and a fascinating Russian circle dance with Maria Vladimirova will lift your spirits! At our gathering, we will sum up the results of Russian Language Week, present awards to the winners of the Russian language quest, and distribute participant diplomas. On October 15, 2024, the European Foundation for Slavic Literature and Culture conducted an open online lesson dedicated to the life and works of Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov. The lesson aimed to deepen knowledge of the poet's biography, examine his fate and works, and analyze how his life experiences are reflected in his literature.
Oscar Wilde (1854–1900) is known for his works such as The Nightingale and the Rose, The Star-Child, The Picture of Dorian Gray, and others. This talented English writer entered world literature as a poet, prose writer, playwright, and critic. His works still "break" stereotypes and change readers' perspectives.
