Quest for Bratislava Gymnasium Students

On November 13, during the third day of Russian Language Week in Slovakia, an exciting event took place at the bilingual gymnasium named after Ivan Horvat. Tatiana Stadler, a Russian language teacher from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and author of several Russian language textbooks, organized a quest for gymnasium students. 

The 12th "Russian Song over the Danube"

On November 9-10, the 12th "Russian Song over the Danube" festival successfully took place in Ružomberok, gathering both lovers of Russian music and professional musicians. The age range of participants varied from the youngest (Luna Aurora Žolnaj, age 5) to seasoned musicians. This year, the festival welcomed guests from Austria, Spain, Hungary, Poland, Belarus, and Russia. 

Russian Language Week in Slovakia

From November 11 to 15, Russian Language Week is being held in Slovakia. The program includes workshops, quests, lectures by highly qualified Russian-speaking educators, literary exhibitions, and cultural events aimed at promoting and spreading interest in the Russian language in Slovakia, as well as providing linguistic and methodological support for Russian language teachers.



The Annual International Book Fair BIBLIOTEKA PEDAGOGIKA.

From November 7 to 10, the annual International Book Fair BIBLIOTEKA PEDAGOGIKA is held at the INCHEBA exhibition center in Bratislava. After a two-year hiatus, Russian books have returned to the exhibition! Classics, contemporary literature, children's books, and textbooks in Russian are available. Russian authors Dmitry Bak, Alexander Livergant, and Vadim Polonsky are actively lecturing, presenting at the fair’s venues, as well as speaking to students of bilingual high schools in Bratislava.

Day of the Icon of Our Lady of Kazan: History and Significance

The Day of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, celebrated on November 4th, is one of the main Orthodox holidays in Russia. This day commemorates one of the most significant events in Russian history: the liberation of Moscow and all of Russia from Polish invaders in 1612. It symbolizes not only deep religious devotion but also the unity of the people.
